Default Loud Drone

I was driving down the higway this morning and all of a sudden my car started to get a loud drone going on. I'm just wondering if this could be a bad Catback(although its not throwing any CEL) or a possible hole that grew larger? I was lowered a while agi (still kinda am), and I noticed my flex pipe has shredded up as well from all the scraping.

If it is the cat, can I just buy me one of these http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B5_A4-...ew_All/ES4389/ ?

Would anyone be able to confirm the piping diameter? Its so freaking loud, even in highway speeds, at 3000rpm it's deafning and I can feel the car vibrate underneat my seats.

Could it also be my resonator?

thanks!

My money would definitely be on a whole in the exhaust somewhere.

I really hope so too. I'm thinking worst case scenario, that the resonator(s) may have failed/cracked and have to replace the whole system for $800. Can't I buy resonators stand alone then having it welded back?

if it turns out to NOT be your exhaust, check into your wheel bearings. they can make a very bassy noise

it also drones in idle. I just took a picture and it seems like a hanger has half way broken off, and if you look at my pic the exhaust is like a thumbs width off the ground (im not even that low) The location of the pic would be just under my seat area.

thanks guys. I'll have my mechanic take a look at it, hopefully he can just patch it up.
