Loud Nose upon Boost..sometimes
Lately, I've been having a very loud noise that rumbles the dash upon boosting 2-3k RPM that both myself and passenger says is coming from the driver's side in the engine compartment.
It ONLY happens sometimes when going up a hill, not all the time. As soon as I let off the accelerator, it will stop. If I hit the accelerator the same way while not on a hill, I only hear the typical turbo spool and no problem.
Anyone have any idea what it could be?
2001 1.8t A4 Auto Quattro.
My engine was replaced recently and I never had this problem before that.
Thanks!!

Bump...
There's no loss of power just a loud vibrating noise on the drivers side ( opposite side of the turbo) when the car is under load on hills--only sometimes though.
Any ideas?

i have the same problem its only at WOT under heavy load i can tell where its coming from though but its only at low rpms. i dont take my foot off the gas it goes away after it passes 3k and i have had no ill effects of ignoring it so thats exactly what i do
How long has this been happening?
ever since i started running 24 pounds through the chip, n75 race, and diode mod combo
