Default magnaflow size

Hey guys.
im new to the audi community and i just bought a 98 2.8 quattro manual. found one with only 64k miles!

but anyways i want to order a magnaflow street series muffler for it cause they sound pretty sweet (check it out)

My question is, which one do i need to purchase? what diameter?
and do you guys think its a good idea? will i see a performance improvement?

appreciate the input. you will probably see me around the forums asking a million questions about other upgrades haha, i just purchased facelift headlights and hid's for it too, that looks like a fun project. Thanks again.

oh and once i get those facelift headlights in ill probably be selling the 2 piece ones for pretty cheap, there perfect i just will want rid of them. let me know if anyones interested

Check that for exhaust info, and basically any B5 info you need. I'm sure you'll be happy with a Magnaflow muffler with or without custom piping.
Or you can get some really custom exhaust like this

haha he needs to burn those tail lights though.
im probably gonna go for it. i will be broke after it but i want it so bad lol

I also have to complain about the lack of spoilers for the car
mostly all i can find is the rs4 type spoilers for it.
i guess they dont look too bad

Not too sure what you mean by rs4 type spoiler... Do you have an avant?

M3 lip spoiler FTW, anything else FTL.

I wouldn't go with that muffler you have linked. Most on here run either the Magnaflow 14816 or the 14862 (that's what i'm running). You can go to the Magnaflow site and you can spec out the differences. Inverted exhaust tips FTL!

Performance gains are very minimal. You 'may' see about a 3hp increase. While your butt-dyno may tell you one thing, a real dyno will tell you another. (na'mean?)
