Maitnence projects for thanksgiving break
Yeah I know thanksgiving is a while out, but I want to start assessing what all I need to get done that week while I'm back from college. My dads now a shop manager at a Mitsu dealer (need to take a EvoX out one day) and I will be getting my own bay with a lift and all the shop goodies to play with, then back to college. So what I want to know, Is how should I use this time?
Here is my current to-do list:
Timing belt
Water Pump
AC compressor
Flush cooling system
Clean engine bay
Trans flush (tiptronic)
Vacuum hoses
Seafoam
Sludge maintenance
Questions
My cars slowly loosing coolant as well as oil. On coolant, it goes from max to min in a month, and also I loose a quart of oil after a month. Looked all over, not a visible leak in sight. While the car is apart, what should I look for to make this stop?
On the trans flush, is it safe? I'm about to hit 135k, and haven't had any issues so far, but ive also heard success/failures with doing this.
Anything else I should do while I'm into this? I'm trying to freshen up the car and have it as ready as possible for the winter/school year

looks like a good start oil change? while your at it and there. as for the leaks you will be able to see alot better once its on the lift check all the hoses make sure they are cracked or to old. and check around the oil pan for any slight cracks or gaskets maybe causing a slight lose of oil
Well I finally found out that my PCV system has failed and is the reason I am loosing oil, coolant is still a mystery for now. I'm placing the order for my ECS Ultimate TB kit, and picking up their 01v service kit for the trans. I'm at a loss for what vac hoses I need however. I need to be smog ready, which meant NO cels, so what all can I remove in the vac system? I'm planning on:
ditching the suction pump setup
running a catch can instead of the PCV system,
deleting the EGR setup etc..
I found this for the b6, but I'm an late model AWM so It looks like it would be the same

The only thing I wouldnt be doing is the SAI obviously, but does this mean I also can't remove the EGR system?
Ill leave the SAI system intact because a) it works and b) ill have a CEL
