Master Cylinder problem? Please help.
I am new to this forum, as I am a semi-new 99.5 A4 1.8t owner. Also, my car/Audi knowledge is limited.
So here is my question. Last night my clutch decides to stick to the floor and i cannot put my car in gear at all. After pulling the pedal back up and finally shoving it into 1st and out of the road it final gives up. No pedal pressure and no getting it in gear period. Sounding alot like a master cylinder issue right? Well, when the master cylinder goes so does the fluid right? And does it not use the same fluid as the brakes? If so why do my brakes work fine? Since the day I bought it the clutch as always disengaged and engaged around 3/4ths of the way up. Being this is my first a4 i didn't think much of it. Is that normal?
I know you guys know best.
Thanks.
