here it is: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/diy-do-yourself-55/how-hook-up-mbc-68777/

funny you bring this up now, because i just bought a TurboXS HPBC and am wondering about the install a little myself. I will probably just end up doing it the way it is in that thread, but the instructions recommend connecting the source to the intake manifold rather than the compressor housing if you're running more than 15 psi. has anyone here done it this way?

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT install that MBC in your car!!!!!!!!!!!! You will have nothing but problems with your car afterwords. I had that in my A4 and my boost was all over the place. It was over boosting and putting me in limp mode then you would turn it down just a hair and you wouldn't boost at all. There have been many other people on here with problems like that as well with that MBC.

ok then. which mbc would u recommend then, i only paid like 12$ for that one, so its not a big loss, i couldnt care less, lol i had an ebay giftcard for 15$ and couldnt think of anythign cheap enough for my car.

also josh i wanted to ask you, what did you connect your boost gauge to for power? im going to set mine up today in the drivers side vent and i dont want to have to run wires around my car 8 times to get power.lol

take off the knee bolster and theres all fuse pannel right there, plenty of power and ground connections.

i picked up a turboxs HPBC off ebay for 100 bucks and it works great. it makes it so the wastegate actuator doesnt see any pressure untill a preset boost is reached, then it opens fully. eliminating boost creep.

^ whats it do for gas milage? i figure if you bypass the N75, then there will be no way to stay out of boost in the 3k-3.5k range (or at least minimize it from partial throttle acceleration, etc).

basically, i want the extra control/boost to be available to me, but I dont want to affect my MPGs in every day driving. 31mpg is just too good i dont want to ruin it lol. we'll see how it works out, I may end up selling my HPBC

Hallman has been one of the best MBC's on the market for many years.

Another good one that the EVO guys say really works great is the one from Dejon Powerhouse and its only $49.95. My friend runs this on his daily driven EVo8 with everything from a stock turbo to the 3 different GT35r setups he has had. I drove this car down the 1/4 mile at the Ultimate Street Car Challenge a few weeks ago and the boost was rock solid.

Replacing the n75 will be the easiest way and will be fine since you are using a bleed style mbc. Just be warned that mbc will only do like 12psi above the stock wastegate (5psi). If you did the math already, you will be limited to 17psi

The easiest way is to do it like in the link, you just remove the n75 lines and install them onto the mbc and you are done. I currently have the my hpbc hooked up like the directions suggest, it does make boost even smoother.

Just keep in mind that a normal ball and spring mbc works way to fast for a stock turbo. Instant spool + faster spool up = jerky acceleration or what many call on/off feeling. This is the reason why the turboxs hpbc is such a good valve since it has both bleed (for smoothness on a small turbo and limits spiking) and the ball and spring.
