Motor removal/Front clip removal

Looks like an an insert on the end now that I look at it a little closer. I plan to tap the center hole and use a slide hammer to remove. I will have it machined to fit the flywheel and re-install.

Woow that does stick out far. Look at my pics. Mine was only half that. You have to grind down the nose with a different pilot bearing. Read this thread I made.

The insert is finally out. I tried a blind hole bearing puller with a slide hammer, but this did not work. I drilled the insert out to 11/16 and taped the hole with a 3/4-16 tap. Then I used a threaded rod with a nut welded on the end and the impact gun. Came out in 2 seconds.
