Default Multiple Cylinder Misfire. 2.8 Help.

On my way home from a trip yesterday and out of nowhere I notice the car feels just slightly rough, I look down and notice the CEL is flashing but it never beeped. I was unable to pull over due to heavy traffic, so I just kept going for about a mile or so And the car returned to normal and the CEL went to staying solid. Drove the rest of the way home which was about another 100-150 miles and everything was fine the whole way.
So I scanned the codes today and here's what came up. Random misfire on cylinder 1 & 6. Cleared the codes and went for a drive with both light driving and hard driving up to 100 MPH and everything was fine CEL never came back. What could it have been? Car is a 2.8 BTW. Also I do have leaky valve cover gaskets which will be fixed this week or next if that could have anything to do with it.

I just bought a 2.8 and had some misfires on the way home. I popped the hood and noticed the hose from the secondary air pump had come off and was a PITA to put back on. Once it was reconnected the CEL never came back and the car runs much better.

Something to check...

ya those are all misfire codes. the leaky VCG could be the culprit as oil on the plugs will cause a misfire. you might want to check you plugs too

Plugs and wires are only about 2 thousand miles old along with the ignition coil module.

Ok, so it happened again on my way home last night. Really rough and boggy for about 5 minutes then back to normal for the rest of the way home. Any ideas?
