Default my 1/4 mile time i ran tonight

ran a 15.63 at 87.62 mph in my 01 a4 1.8t quattro tip. borla exhaust, test pipe, intake and stage 2 apr chip with an r1 diverter valve. im kinda interested in what other ppl have ran with their setup and also what a stock et is. my next step is to get the giac tip chip to help with the shifting. that might some time off the et. then after thats its probably looking like k04, front mount, injectors and fpr time along with a re tune. so post up them times!

Actually that is a good time for a Tip k03. Dont expect to run what a manual K03 will run seeing that the manual is slightly lighter and gets around 5% more power to the ground.

Just work on running quicker with your own car as you change mods.

To give you something to aim for, I was able to run 14.29 with my K03 and would have ran quicker then that the week before during a NHRA event at a quicker track but I lifted around the 1000 ft mark since I was bracket racing. I had a 14.5 dial in and still ran 14.33 coasting as I shot past the other car which had a dial-in that was in the 18's.

I ran a 15.8 in my 2.8LQ. It was my first time and I ran softly. 6000 shift and no hard launch.

flynnr deffently pm me or post up what you run im interested what u run with the k04 and tip chip. and mike what did you all have done to run mid 14s with the ko3 still on? im guessing alot of weight reduction but any help and suggestions i would be more the willing to take them to heart. that was my first time on the strip even though going there to watch since i was a baby pretty much. alot of ppl where like that thing only ran mid 15's and i was like its a car that weighs alot, its an awd sedan that had a full tank of gas and 2 comp series subs with the subs and box weighing about 100 lbs and i was running on 18 in tires so i mean i feel pretty happy with it. but you have me curious on the mid 14s haha. i am so hooked on legal drag racing its such a thrill running down the strip, especially under the lights!

Back then I didn't have all that much weight reduction done. Back seats were removed, so was the spare tires and I had replaced the front seats with the Cobra seats I still have to this day. Mods on the car then were Evoms FMIC, Evoms intake, test pipe, stock down pipe, a 2.5" exhaust from the flex point back and a custom GIAC chip that ran 20psi and tuned for 104 octane.

Well next time you go to the track go there with no more then a 1/4 tank of fuel and bring a jug of fuel just in case you make a bunch of runs. Remove all that extra stuff including the spare tire and you can remove the rear seats with just 1 bolt which is between the 2 tops that fold down. If you still have your stock tires put those back or find a set of 15's if ours did not come with those. Fill the tires up to 45psi before getting to the track which will reduce rolling resistance and help with the launch.
