Default My car sounds like a police siren.

Ok, here's the scoop.

My car sounds like a police siren.
It's coming from down by the turbo and catalytic converter.
I'm also getting a p1338 code and a code for the coolant high temp sensor.
I just replaced the high temp sensor but the guy at auto zone wouldn't reset my CEL.
Can anyone give me information on what the noise could be and how I can go about getting that P1338 CEL code fixed?

Thanks!

(Also will either of these problems cause my car to be in limp mode? Also my car has lost all it's get up and go feeling from the boost. If that helps.?)

Sounds like someone may need a new turbo.

Disconnect both battery cables, with them away from the battery touch the cables for a sec to completely discharge it and then reconnect. That should clear the engine light for you

No, you shouldn't do the touching them together thing. Yes, it will drain capacitors and stuff but it can actually break stuff, so just wait a little while instead...

I've done it a million times on different cars from german to american. You dont have to touch them, you can simply disconnect the negative for 53 mins

Disconnect and turn the key to start the car... This should drain all capacitors without risking any ECU damage.
