ok, so since im going to college soon and wont be needing/driving the car for a while, instead of paying $2,000 for new rims and lowering the car, i am going to bet the lowers professionaly painted and i am going to get a tip chip. i think that should be enough to make me happy for the next few monthes that i have left with my ever so precious audi.

i am actulay depressed that i am not going to have a car for the first year or two of college, especialy now that it will be sitting at home and my dad will drive it all he wants. and i dont let anybody drive my car. ANYBODY!

i will try to post a pic or two of the paint job and i will try to throw up a vid of the new shifting abilities. i also might have all of this done before the norcal g2g, fingers crossed.

anybody have any other suggestions on what i should do, i have about a $800 spending limit. i just dont see the point in spending more money on something im not going to use for a while. you feel me? lol.

 

Oh, that sucks. I can't imagine my self without a car, which in reality seems to be pretty sad. []

save the cash. trust me. ive been to numerous colleges now and unless you have an unlimited cash flow from mommy and daddy then it gets tough.

 

Yeah save your money, Just doo stuff after you get out of college. Plus whats college without beer money?

Paying to have your lowers painted is for girls. Are your windows tinted? Do you have facelift headlights? Clear sidemarker lights? Suspension? Or you could probably get a nice set of wheels for that much.

 

What you should do is take all the keys WITH YOU to college. Then you dad can't drive it

 

i would do nothing to it if your not even going to see it. save you money so when you get it back you can do more stuff to it

 

ya no car is going to be a major bummer.

i wanted to go to long beach, but i couldnt get in so its down to chico and northridge, not that great of a selection, no offence to anyone.

i agree with most of you that i should save my money, it just seems uselsess to spend money on something im not going to drive and is just going to sit there.

i want new rims, but i need to lower it or its a jeep, i want to lower it, but i dont want 15's on a lowered car, so i have to get them together which is a lot of money, its a vicious cycle.

new headlights is just like anything else, more money spent, and i have to pro paint my lowers because the paint is slightly off the 1999+, and i cant get it at kragen or whatever. and windows tinted on a stock looking car looks bad to me.

so thank you all that convinced me to save money, even though that is going to be really hard to do.
