My temp display keeps changing to Celsius -- Why?
 

I recently bought a used 2003 allroad, and the temparature display for both the climate control and instrument cluster was in Celsius. I soon discovered how to change to F, (Recirculation and + buttons). This does change the display, but later on it changes back to C. It may be a day or a week, or an hour, but it never stays on F. I can't see any pattern to when it changes, but I look over and wham it's back to C. What gives? Is there a battery that holds the setting? I've searched these forums and can't find anyone else that mentions this. Please, if someone knows what to do, help me.

It's a European car and naturally inclined to their measurement systems lol. Seriously you find a better answer by going to the right section as this is an A4 section. Or you could try PMing one of the certified techs. Best of luck to ya, that would be annoying.
