Where is it? What does it look like?

Thanks,
Mike

diverter valve solenoid... think it's under the intake manifold?

I think so too.. I was wrenchin under the manifold when I changed out the alternator... does this mean something is leaking or the connection is bad?

My guess is you broke one of the connections to it. The vacuum ones are fragile, and the electrical one probably is easy to break as well. Open circuit sounds electrical to me.

Code is GONE. I played around with all the plugs.. basically pushing them in tightly... Re-scanned and nothing!

Awesome, thanks guys!

under the intake manifold closets to the front, you can bypass it btw, just keep it plugged in electronicly and you won't get a code, also plug the vacum ports on it.

dragonrage 10-28-2009 11:02 PM

And the reason to bypass it would be...?

TeeterTawter 10-28-2009 11:22 PM

they cost alot, kinda usless part imo, and mine failed on me. so i just connected my dv directly to the intake manifold.

If they're useless, why would Audi have used them?
