N249 valve question
Has anyone removed this valve? It is called: Recirculating valve for turbocharger -N249- There is a vacum line that goes from the intake manifold to it on one side, then your DV hooks to the other side, and on the opposite side is another vacume line that goes to the secondary pump. Has anyone bypassed this with success? If so, what did you do? If you disconnect it, it throws a cel and runs rough. I'm thinking, leave it plugged in and plugging off both open ports, the intake vac and DV line. Why I want to do this is because I think that the valve is opening my bov too soon or purging.
Pimphell, you probably messed with the N112 valve, which controls the wastegate and the secondary air intake via the combi valve.
The N249 is bypassable in a matter of seconds. The vac line from your diverter valve goes into the N249 underneath the intake (careful NOT to **** with the wastegate. In order to make sure you're tinkering with the right valve, run your hand along the same vac line that goes from the intake manifold into the N249. It should be very hard to see, as opposed to the N112 which is easily seen) but what you can do is you can simply delete the N249, and plug the vac line from your DV straight into the intake manifold.
It does not idle rough at all; the N249 is an ECU-controlled unit that controls how much boost the DV holds. I'm pretty sure you messed with something else... anyways, make sure you throw a resistor on it to stop that CEL
