First off, sorry for being a grave digger, but my trusted buddy google helped me find this thread while i was researching.

I'm looking into getting some 18x8.5 531 Chromium Black with Machined Lip Wheels by XXR.

I'm driving a 99 b5 a4, and I'm on Vmaxx coilovers dropped 2". I'm leveled out.

I'm having trouble making sure that this rim will fit.

First of all, should I get +20mm or +35mm offset? Also, I know the lug pattern is 5x112 thanks to this thread.

Basically, would this rim fit my ride? I don't want my tire tread to rub and I don't want any poke. I'm not looking for that "hella flush" look that ricers go for, I just want some nice rims, going for sporty luxury i guess. I know "imthedevil" is riding 19"s and he said he rubs a little so idk. what do you guys think?

Here are the specific wheels i'm trying to buy:

They will fit. If you don't want the wheels to poke, get the +35mm. If you want them sit out a lil more you can always add spacers after the fact. They look good, CCW classics reps.

Thanks McGovs, I'll probably go with the +35s. I hope on 18"s I don't rub tho, because on my stock 16s its already pretty close to the wheel well. And i had no idea what CCW classics reps was so i googled it and found a bunch of wheels that look similar to the xxr's i want. are these xxrs a knock off of ccw classics, or is that just a word to describe this type of rim?

Well you shouldn't be any closer to rubbing with the 18s since you will have thinner tires it should be very close to the same overall diameter. The XXRs you linked are a replica of the CCW brand Classics, just like there are 10 companies that make wheels that look exactly like BBS LMs. The CCWs likely cost for 1 what you'd pay for 4 of the XXRs. Materials and construction are the difference makers.

Also you will need hubcentric rings for those to fit the hub as well.
