Default New Here and need a lot of help

Hey guys,

Just got my '98 A4 2.8L V6 in june and I have some work I want to do to clean it up. However, I am on a college student budget so cheap tips/tricks will be extra appreciated.

First, there is a sizeable crack in my front bumper along with many other smudges and scrapes. Should I unmount, sand, bondo and paint? Or find another(possibly used) one?

Next, I want some sound out of my exhaust. I saw online some who welded up straight pipes from the Cat, back. good idea? alternatives?

Third, I have zero tint on my windows and it looks like I should be driving kids to soccer practice. Whats the cheap way to get the good look? The local place wanted $220!

Any help you all would be willing to give would be much appreciated!
Cheers!

as for the exhaust, if you like the sound of it, do it. Thats really all there is to it. All i ask is that you don't turn it into a fart cannon. i hate those...unless they are on hondas. then its funny.

as for the tint, thats about how much it is. I spent $180 to get my windows tinted, and that was apparently with a discount. you could always buy tint at walmart and do it yourself, but expect it to look like crap and/or peel off within a year

Front bumper can diy but unless you are pretty skilled... it wont be perfect.

Exhaust look at the newbie guide (FAQs) on the top of the b5 forums and listen to the videos for a little help.

Tint I paid $150 on a discount! Other ways to un-soccer-mom it is always wheels and more low! You don't have to slam you car for it to look good, just eliminating the wheel gap is a beautiful stance for these cars.

Welcome to the fourms enjoy your stay and use the search button!

Depends on where you go for tint. I had mine done in FL for $100 and was 5%, which was very dark especially at night. Make sure your state will allow you to have that dark of windows if they have inspections.
