New Source for Replacement/Spare Keys!!
I know some of the more senior guys here are well aware that this is an often asked question, but this is the first time I've seen this before. Just saw this on ECS:
http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B5_A4-...erior/Key_Fob/
Looks like that'll get you a new switchblade key, cut to your vehicle, and a brand new fob, straight from Audi, for about $135 (available separately). For guys that don't have a dealership in convenient driving distance, or don't want to drop all the cash all at once for a new key, this could be good. Plus this price is about half what the dealership near me quoted for a new key. Just thought I'd throw this out there. I'll be picking up a spare next week

You can buy the casing for the fobs on ebay for cheap. You just swap the internals from your key into it and you're set, no need to even sync the fob either. Although the back part of the one I bought doesn't fit with my batteries, I just used the old one and it looks fine though.

If you check around a bit more you may be able to find a dealer selling it cheaper. The dealer here charges $135 for a new cut key and fob plus $60 to program it. I contacted 5 different dealers in my area and they all had prices in the mid $200s (except for the closest one ). I would ask around first
EDIT: They programmed my old fob which wasn't working and my new one in 5 minutes for FREE. He literally put the key in the ignition, rolled down the window, put the second key in the door, turned it, pushed a few buttons...
