Default New Turbo.

I finished up replacing my turbo today. I also put on a new downpipe and HFC. Everything went good and it drives realll smooth now. BUT, I'm only boosting like 5 or 6 lbs and I'm chipped. I'm not in limp mode. I have a Hard Fault for the N75 valve says its "open circuit". Could this becausing me to loose boost? I'm pretty sure the DV is still good since its only like a year old. I also checked for boost leaks and didn't find any.

open circuit = not plugged in or broken wire. if the n75 is just open all the time, boost would be limited to wastegate spring pressure, which is about 6psi.

perrrrfect, the wires going to it are all taped up with electrical tape, I guess that's where my problem is. But it just happened out of no where? Time to get the multi meter out and see whats up. The previous owner was a retard. He was a so called "mechanic" for 12 years. Everytime I go through this car i find something dumb he did.

yea thats like my last car, everything was electrical taped, wire nut'ed and zip tied. theres a reason it was cheap. and the radio was literaly held in with a chinese menu folded up and jamed in between the radio and the side of the dash.

it probably happened because the wire wasnt very tight to begin with and you probably moved something enough to dislodge it. take the tape off of it and solder and heatshrink any wires that were cut and this will never happen again.

Effin A, I can't get this tape off. Its wrapped like CRAZY and I don't want to use a razor and mess up the wires worse.
