So it finally got warm enough to work on my car a week ago(live in ND), so I decided to seafoam my car and noticed a seal was screwed up in relation with my vacuum line.





Ever since I got the car(2001 A4 TQM) I could never hear the turbo spool so for almost a year now Ive always been like wtf why dont i hear it spool when i get on it.
So after i seafoam it I put the part thats circled back together but it didn't seem very snug but worked for the time being. After that I go out to test drive it and I get on it and all of a sudden it SPOOLS! So I decide to do the right thing and replace the part and get it all installed and no more spool(nothing with how i installed it is wrong). Also the bottom part of the y is clogged with im assuming the missing part of the one way valve.




So to recap when the 2 pieces were slopply put on and the bottom pipe clogged the turbo spooled like no other, when I replaced the part no more boost just like before. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

ok #1 you need a boost gauge
#2 not sure how you know your turbo's not boosting, I can't hear mine when it spools, but I know I"m hitting 14psi.
