oil level...beep beep beep
 

i want to stab my ears with rusty knifes. after my oil gets hot, a notch under 250, my lcd will flash the oil can and beep three times. sometimes one after another, and will not go away until the oil temps fall. my oil level is perfect, im using castrol syntec 5-30w, and audi oil filter from dealer. thoughts?

you get the oil can symbol on the display?

If it's low oil it will say "MIN" under the oil can symbol. If you don't have the "MIN" then its an oil pressure warning! Could be mucho bad if your oil pressure is too low. If you indeed have low oil pressure and have been driving that way for a while your engine would let you know in other, more devestatingly horrible ways.

When was your last oil change? Could be as simple as a bad pressure sensor (cheap easy fix). Could be sludge.

well, my LCD is out for the most part. so i can just barely make out the change. I tend to change my oil every 3500 miles, at since last its been about 3,300 miles. I may try the pressure sensor.
