Unhappy Oops, Upside Down

I have been reading these forums ever since I purchased my 99.5 Audi A4 2.8 and I love all the great info you guys have provided. In fact, I never had to ask any questions before now because they were all answered.

Today, I was heading up snowboarding and goofing off on the drive up. I power slid a little too fast for me to control around one corner and the rear tires left the road and went up the embankment where I hit a tree trunk that flipped the car onto its side and then rolled onto its top.

Pictures: http://picasaweb.google.com/isthatsnow

I turned the car off while it was still sliding upside down, so there should be no damage to the engine. The radiator is bent up and I lost some fluid. The front left tire is blown out. Front and driver side window broke along with the sunroof. The body panels are fairly fucked except for the trunk and fuel tank door, hah. Interior is still in great shape and the airbags did not deploy.

118k miles on the vehicle.

Anyway, just wondering how to get the most salvage value out of this thing. Best guesses on what you think the car is still worth would be very helpful.

Thats an early 99 not a 99.5. Wrong dash, side marker, modlings, door handles, headlights, tail lights, trim color, and shift **** hehe. Sux for what happened though. I need a transmission but I don't have the money right now so I wont be able to take it off your hands. Selling all the good interior peices is the best place to start. I'd just post this in classifieds on several forums. Here , AZ, Audi World, VW vortex. All those places and your sure to get some people interested. Just keep up w/ the threads and list when you sell a part in the first post so you don't get too many asking if its sold or not.

Yikes, sorry to see that happened to you. My only advice would be to post in the different Audi forums and on your local craigslist that you have Audi parts for sale. Really have no idea what the car is worth now.

selling the car whole i doubt you would be surprised if you could get $1000 for it. might be able to get a little more then that to a junk yard but i dunno. parting it out could get you $2-3k but that takes a bit of work on your part. how is your insurance? liability only?

sucks man glad you're alright. odd that the airbags didn't go off. yet good as well cause they hurt when they smack ya. save your life but still hurt like a bastard haha. anyways if I can help ya get something for the car I will. I need a central locking pump and a center console armrest container and lid, since its black leather interior. let me know what you're going to do if parting out or what.

again glad you're alright!

Parting out no doubt will ger you more money...

If you decide to go that route I would like one of the black plastic motor covers... let me know what you decide to do.
