Default overheating problem:l audi b5

ok so i recently noticed my car overheating just a lil like the past 4 weeks so i decided to flush the coolant cuz it had the green kind so i bought 2 gallons from an audi dealer and i did the flush i also repaced the coolant temp sensor. and when i turned on the car and let it warm for a while i noticed the needle would still go beyond the half way mark and i filled her up good cuz after warming it up it needed more water so i put more. could this be the thermostat thats not opening? or the water pump? im not sure if thats the problem cuz it did take a whole galon its over 3 liters and i still had to put alot of water aand i checked for leaks theres no leaks. what could this be ? maybe the coolant sensor is bad?? cuz before i flushed the coolant it wouldnt over heat that bad just to the middle line and now it goes well past it so i had to turn off the car. what could it be>?

Last time mine went to that point was when I left the cap off the reservoir

is it steady at above the middle or does the needle move around a little bit? if it moves around you have bubbles

Did you burp the cooling system after you replaced the coolant? Leave the cap off the reservoir and let the car idle until it gets up to operating temp. If it still overheats, you can try using the bleeder located on the outlet of the heater core. Loosen the clamp that holds the hose on and slide it back about an inch. That will expose a small bleeder port. Let the car idle until coolant comes out of it. Since that's the highest point in the cooling system, that should be where the air collects.

I let the car warm up this morning with cap off and bubbles would come up more if I accelerate but it would still go over the half way and then I would hear like a sucking or seemed like air coming out of the lil hose that goes to the reservoir but it would go forever and so I turned off the car cuz I didn't wanna over heat it too much

Never a good idea to take the cap off when the car is already up to operating temp, that's a good way to get sprayed in the face.

"Seemed like air coming out of the lil hose that goes to the reservoir but it would go forever"

Care to explain that a little more? Which hose?

the small one thats connected to the hose that goes to the radiator it goes to the reservoir too it sounds like its shooting or something lol but aair and it goes forever there must be alot of air or something its like the water its not going up that big hose or something
