Check you're local autox groups if the run by SCCA standards (which they should) you are limited to what tires wheels and suspension you have... They have stock classes run stock!

Last Sunday was my last run of the season it was also a police benifit run so it was nice to see how I stand up against other pigs... Using the PAX timing I placed 2nd falling to 1st place by only 0.116 second. so just over 1/10th of a send I missed 1st. I had a lot of fun, I plan on trying to build my car to the max this winter with-in my class standards! I have HD video of me running I'm sorting threw so I'll get that up shortly. My only complaint so far about the v-maxx coilovers is they definitely were not made for autox. Between the soft springs and just as soft shocks they simply can't handle the weight transfers. Also huge down side to autox'ing a b5 is if you tri-pod your screwed. The car will think you broke something do to the lack of friction on the tire and the whole car will not give power to any wheels... Kind of a PITA when your running springs/shocks that are way to soft!

Here is what I'm aloud for my car so I plan on doing most...
- Pedal kits and other interior trim
- Front seats (25 pounds minimum weight each, including mounts)
- Rub strips, emblems, and mud flaps removed
^Done^
- Body kits, spoilers, and wings added
- Tires up to 225mm wide, UTQG treadwear 140 minimum
- Wheels up to 7.5 inches wide, any diameter/offset
^I plan on getting a 3rd set of wheels!^
- Any shocks/struts, number of damper adjustments is unlimited
- Drilled/slotted rotors (standard size) and braided DOT brake lines
^Huge bummer i wanted the A8/TT swap
- Anti-roll bars, front and rear, including mounts
^rear sways a must for the b5^
- Lowered suspensions using standard-type springs (commonly referred to as "coilover" suspension kits)
^Done but might switch^
- Suspension bushings (non-metallic)
- Camber kits, plates, or bolts
- Traction bars, torque arms, panhard rods
- Strut bars, 2-point only
- Battery relocated
- Air filter systems up to throttle body or compressor inlet
- Headers, emissions compliant
- High-flow catalytic converters (no test pipes) - must be within 6 inches of factory location
^on order^
- Engine computers (PCM/ECU) reprogrammed
^want^
- Shifter kits
^want^
- Accessory drive pulleys
- Motor mounts (non-metallic)
- Boost controllers are NOT allowed (manual, electronic, ECU-based, or otherwise)
^include turbo timers?^

I don't think turbo timers would be considered boost controllers... I'm sure you'll be fine with one.

Are the helmets required? I had never heard of autox before hanging out here.
