PCV Valve
Ok, I'm still putting that sucker where its supposed to be. The diaphragm is probably busted inside if I had to guess so I'll just go ahead a replace it. I'm needing to replace old parts with new ones, as it is. Next question, I have an 03, is it supposed to be on the TIP or on top of the combi valve? Does it matter?
I meant ABOVE the combi valve. Sorry I reread what I wrote and it was misleading. It's not going into the combi, its located above it. I think I am going to just leave it where it's at. I've seen it on the TIP on a '03, and above the combi on a '03.5 So I wasn't sure where mine was supposed to be. I have no idea what my manufacture date is. I tried searching, but found nothing. When I replaced the battery, the clock rest itself to Sept. 2, 2002. I had asked if that was the manufacture date, and I got a backwards answer that didn't make sense. So I assume its a '03.5 but I'm not sure.
You're gonna have to take a picture of that ****. You're sayin your PCV pancake valve is attached to your valve cover? That's supposed to be a Y-shaped rubber hose that connects your block breather to the hard line that runs down to the TIP.
The y shaped hose is attached the the valve cover. The crankcase breather/cprv or whatever that puck valve is called is attached the the y, then attached to another short segment of hose that goes into that hard line you mentioned. The hard line then goes to a hose that attached to a hard plastic elbow that goes into the tip. I've seen it both ways on my model, but I'm not sure which way it's supposed to go. When I take the part number and search for it, it says it's supposed to go where the hard plastic elbow is on the tip. I'm so confused.
