Alternately, get a 32 oz mug and fill it with Warsteiner.

a hammer drill drills still not just hammers. if you need to drill it out its worth a try, i have no idea how your getting a hammer drill to fit in the wheel well tho. Is yours stuck stuck stuck?? another option is... take the shock assembly off take the lower arms out of the subframe and pull the whole deal out. take off everything you can and cut the old arms off at the head. then press the bolt out with a 20 ton. Works like a charm.

I gave up and took it to a shop. Here's my advice:

If you decide to do the control arms, and you live in a place with salty winters. Make sure you have a PROPER air hammer available just in case, none of that dinky air hammers. I got lucky with one side, but not so much on the other. Mine was stuck in there good. I had a pretty good sledge hammer i was using too. I was pounding the **** out of it to no avail.

Even Audi had made a $500 vag tool to remove the pinch bolt

i wish people would search for my pinch bolt thread i made. im in the process of testing out stainless bolts in the pinch bolt holes. theyve been in there since octobober and are set to come out when i get around to doing brakes and my front wheel bearing. i cant be positive, but i am definately thinking stainless is the answer. plus i put some antiseize on it
