Plasti-Dip
So, a while back some friends and i ordered some Plasti-dip car kits, and planned on dipping our cars. Life happens so we never got around to it. I'm home for Thanksgiving break, and we got together and decided we wanted to have some fun, and i volunteered my 2000 A4 to go two toned. It's red, and completely stock, with the exception of a boost gauge and the airbox mod, but we figured what the hell. so we started at 8:30 p.m. and 4 and a half hours later, it's done. I'm really surprised at how idiot-proof it is. Also, I'm officially addicted to plasti-dip. I debadged my trunk, leaving only the rings, and dipped my hood, trunk and roof. Pelled the rings off and the quattro emblem on the grille, and i have to say, i've had quite a few compliments on it just cruising through town and stopping a couple places on my way home. So, i'm uploading a picture, and let's hear what you guys all think!
I'm going to run the two-tone for a while, because the more i look at it the more i love it. i did 7 coats, and used about 1 and 1/3 of a gallon. there is minimal texture, obviously it has a little bit, but over all it's REALLY clean. i'm doing the wheels next for winter then i'm putting 20% tint all around. here is a couple more pics. The back bumper is getting repainted in the spring because i can't justify doing it now with winter being a couple weeks away, so that'll help with the back end looking better i think.
it was actually surprisingly easy. I ordered the kit that comes with the gun, 2 gallons, and a few other goodies. i don't think i'm gonna lower it, because where i live there are a lot of back roads and snow and whatnot, but i do plan on getting wheels on the summer. i may decide to lower it then if it looks bad... haha. i dipped my wheels today, and came to the conclusion that with tint and the wheels it would look really good. i've just been to lazy to clean up the tires. i think these wheels look fine for winter wheels... i'll attach a picture of a close up of the trunk i snapped, but it looks textured but it really isn't all that bad. it finishes really smooth.

My honest opinion is I'm not a fan..
I agree with you though, I'm completely in love with plasti-dip and what it can do. I just think that the flat black and 2 tone look is kinda ghetto and only looks right on certain cars.
But hey, if you like it keep it! Its your car and it looks like it turned out nice.

I agree with Meloman, having the A and C pillars done it takes away from the lines of the car. It would look better with just the hood, roof, trunk and mirrors like this:
