Zoinks - ok so on to the flange. I gotta think this factory where they make the afore mentioned turbos of ill repute, must make these 5 bolt contraptions to hook up to something right. Just tell me what it was meant to fit to? Is it even remotely audi based? After that you can untie my thread or nuke the post...

lol i lovethat you actually bought an e-bay turbo, and now it doesent fit..... hahahha, thats what happends when you try and save a buck with these cars and cheep out!

 

resell it if you can... but you probobally cant. I know SloMotion motorsports here in Columbus, Ohio has a great fab shop that can make just about anything, but that flange is NOT a standard mount and something will have to be milled.

All in all, it'll cost just as much to take a loss on that and do it over again, right this time. if you disagree, have someone make a cheap manifold for that cheap turbo and see how cheap it is to replace a motor when the impeller on that dissolves into your engine's head at 15,000 rpms.

On day you will get it through your skull and get what im saying to you. THAT TURBO FITS NOTHING!!! You will not find that flange. Eat your losses and move on

 

You can get a flange machined, but it's just not worth it. Have a flange custom machined isn't the cheapest thing.

 

Turbo delayed in transit - come on it must fit something w/a 5 bolt???

Regardless I think its hopeless to fit - those other two bolts would be sitting right in the block as far as I can tell - which kind of torques my lug nuts - the stupid thing is advertised to fit an a4 (see below) - even if I had a flange it would still push the cat back an inch or so.
This is so f'd, I'm so f'd. Guess I need to entertain the thought to return it -
