please help with door problems

Default please help with door problems

i recently had to replace my front passenger door because of an accident (damn deer) and now the car thinks the door is open when its really shut because the headlight chime stays on and i dont know if this is related but my alarm doesnt sound any more when i lock the doors. can anyone please help me out it would be greatly appreaciated thanks

It might be related. i swear to GoD i put the wrong type of bulb in my left tail light and my car was doing some really weird **** elctronically. So i say anyhting that's wrong elctronically may screw up other things...as far as the door chime stayin on, there has to be a sensor or push-in button that the door hits when closed in order for the car to read that all doors are closed. Obviously it wasn't taken care of by the body guy. bring it back to him, he should be liable for that.

it was done by a somebody who knows somebody so i am not going to bother them to fix, i am going to try fix it myself hopefully with the help of you guys. i was also thinking it was the door contact switch, but i dont see one when i open the door?

the only thing i can think of right now is that all the electrical isnt plugged in, and another thing that could be screwin you is that little rubber sleeve thats on the b pillar next to the striker... theres a line that has to be plugged in back there. only way to get to it is by moving the trim from the back seat with the seat all the forward and its a pain in the @ss.
