RE: Please help me with my mods!
a cold air intake system doesn't add hardly any performance to our cars but if you really want to buy one:

RE: Please help me with my mods!
i agree. Cold air intakes dont do shit performance wise if you already have a turbo. Its a waste of money man.

RE: Please help me with my mods!
i have a k&n panel filter already. sorry i forgot to add that to the sig.
but i think now ill jus focus on exterior (new front lip, rear lip spoiler, and rims) and then get new sound system. i really want one of those touchscreen flip out dvd player/cd/mp3. anybody got one of these? |
RE: Please help me with my mods!
do you have the stock dv?
|
RE: Please help me with my mods!
1) Chip (read the newbies guide) best bang for the buck
2) free mods, the airbox mod in the DIY section is more effective than any $300 intake~there free 3) test pipe and exhaust~good gains when used with a chip 4) FMIC~can be done for like $100(see the diy section) I havent gotten this far yet 5) bigger Turbo 6) new chip 7) water/meth injection |
RE: Please help me with my mods!
yeah how much do you have to spend? if your chipped you should go with a new dv or FMIC if you want performance, and also get the ebay short shifter, it was $20, took about 1.5 hours to install, and was well worth it. id say the throw is almost 50% shorter, and it takes some getting used to, but it feels great. the only thing is they dont come with instructions on how to make the right adjustments to change the throw, height, or location of the gears, thats what took the longest for me to set up, and theres a really good write up on audidiy.com, but they even go through too many steps, there was a few thingsyou could skip no problem.
