Possible TPS issues

I bought this car knowing it was throwing a TPS code. So I replaced it with a brand new one, and after replacing the car wants to sometimes continue accelerating after I hit the pedal. It also bogs down/hesitates if I floor it. I know these are signs of a bad TPS, but my question is this...is there anything that I am supposed to do after replacing the TPS to get it to work. Like maybe any special steps? Thanks for any/all help.

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor

you may need to align throttle body.must be done via vag com.
there is a vag locator thread its a sticky good luck.
i am dealing with same issue on a 30v but from doing a g2 install. i just ordered vag com cable off ebay if it works ill let you know. check thread on board called " oh boy " in b5 for more info on my issue and i think some of the guys posted quick align tricks. NONE OF SAID TRICKS HAVE EVER HELPED ME but i have diffrent software
