Power Steering pump interchangable with Passat?

Power Steering pump interchangable with Passat?
I have a 2001 A4 1.8l Quattro in need of a new power steering pump. I have the time to do it this weekend while I'm in town, but the pump is a pain to find. I am wondering if a p/s pump from a Passat would work?
