Anyone have a good write up on how to replace the Power Steering Pump on an 1997 A4 1.8T Quattro? I've been looking everywhere and can't find a write up. I think mine has gone bad, it makes a moaning noise when I turn my wheel to the left or right... Also, any one have a rough idea what the Dealership will charge to replace it? Should I take it there or is this something that isn't too difficult to replace? Thanks Everyone in advance...

 

A good place to start would be replacing the fluid. My family always says - start with the cheapest thing to replace then move up from there. Check your fluid and see if it's a thin green fluid. If not, grab some from your local VW/Audi dealer and replace it.
