Question about my codes
Here they are:
Code:
VCDS-Lite Version: Release 1.1My problem is with the second one, it says ABS, but then it says no fault code found, the problem is that on my LCD I see the circle with the two tangent arcs beside it (ABS warning)...so how can I clear it off my screen if theres no fault code being given? Thanks |
Unplug your ABS control module then plug it back in again (with the key off) See if the vag com will communicate with it again.
|
It's on the driver side, near the coolant tank kinda with all the brake lines going into it right? I'll give that a shot.
|
Yes, thats the ABS block and module.
|
Ok so I unplugged and repluged the ABS module, didnt make a difference. The ABS light on the dash itself is not on, just the one in the LCD display. How can I clear it?
|
After checking through the Ross-tech site I think this will get rid of it:
Code:
[Select]Anyone ever had this? |
ummm...there is nothing wrong, that icon on your dash, warns you that your brake pads are worn and need replacement,a simple look through your cars A4 manual would have told you what that icon means, when it appears on your dash.
When that icon came up on mine the very fist time, since i owned my B5,i looked in the manual and knew what it meant,i changed the back first,it didn't go away, then i figured the brake pad sensors were in the front brake pads, changed the front pads and it finally went away.;) That o2 sensor is obviously another matter altogether but i think you know what to do with that...replacement time:) |
Yeah I have had that light for some time but I just changed all my pads and all my rotors and the new sensors in the front are connected. Also I checked the level of my brake fluid and it is fine.
So I have the light for no reason and can't figure out how to get it to go away... |
Did you clear all your codes with your vag-com to see if that clears the icon?
|
This is what I have now:
Code:
VCDS-Lite Version: Release 1.1New pads, new rotors, plenty of brake fluid, but I still have that (O) in my LCD... Any ideas? |
