Question Question about sunroof gutters.

Hey Guys,

I was cleaning my MAF yesterday, when I said "why not clean the sunroof gutters too?" I read a few threads about the long, drawn out process of removing the bumpers and buying special parts, etc.

I decided to just take a wire coat hanger, stretch and smooth it out and run it down the gutters and see if it slid smoothly, or it it hit something. I figured, if it hit something, then I'd do it the long way.

The passenger side front went smooth. I was happy with that. The drivers side front didn't. I felt what I thought was a blockage, so I sort of jabbed at it a little, until I felt it push through......then I thought: "What if these gutters aren't metal? What if they're rubber tubes or some **** like that? Maybe I just ripped one of them open and now water is going to drain into the body and/or cabin?" When I considered that, I didn't even try to do the back gutters.

Can anyone tell me if the gutters are just metal channels, or if they're some other material that I may have damaged?

Thanks in advance!

FYI: They're rubber tubes. Don't use coat hangers.
