I am shipping my 98.5 A4 car to EU and I need tail lights with orange turn signals. The ones I have is only red with white stripe in the midle for reverse. anyway, I noticed that pre 98.5 has orange turn signals. I was wondering if bulbs arrangement is the same in 98.5 pre and after. What I meant is if I use those tail lights with orange color on my 98.5, will the colors match the purpose? any differences in bulb arrangement in b5 at all? if anyone knows, let me know.

get the euro ones that have a white strip instead of red for the turn signals. docurley is in euro and he has those lights. they are sexy as hell

 

they do look cool, but probably I won't be able to pass e-check with those cause by law I need orange turn signals...

 

the facelift euro tails look the same as the facelift us spec tails
except on the euro ones, the section above the backup light (turn signal) is slightly hued down and looks a bit pinkish, this allows the light to flash orange, but the tailight still appears to be just red and clear.

if you were to find those that would be your best option, all the wiring would remain the same, where on the earlier ones "96" you would have to rewire them

so basically I need to look for the lights with backup lights in the middle... right? those in the giant pictures, are they stock tails in europe? if it is, I should have no problems with e-check... and they do look awesome!

 

I just bought a 1998 and it has orange turn signals, but most of the other ones i've seen have the red strip. If it's pre 1998.5, why does my car have the newer (30v) v-6 engine? Wasn't that part of the update?
