I was just browsing ECS and saw two types of K04 turbos and was wondering what the differences between them. Is the RP one for transverse engines or something of that nature?

The first one is the standard K04 015 Borg-Warner

My second question is unrelated to the first. After my Milltek exhaust install (its been in 2 months now), I get a strange vibrating and rumbling through the midsection of the car every time I drive through a large puddle. Its only when going through puddles. Other than that it seems fine. Any thoughts?

 

The two turbo's are basically the same other than brand name. They both fit VW 1.8T engines. I don't think anything special is needed for a transverse engine as far as turbos go. Check your exhaust hangers all the way back. I bet at least one is not doing it's job.
