so both of my back springs are broke. Usually i dont take my car to the mechanic but i did today. He called me and told me that the springs were half the bill ( so $400 ) which seems crazy to me. Im guessing he called the audi dealer by the price of the springs. I was looking at springs online when i found these

My quesiton is would these work on my car? i have a 99 quattro but the article says that they are only for 2000-2001. Would this make a differenece cause as far as i know nothing really changed in the rear suspension from 99-00? What do you guys think?

 

I show 4 different choices for your car depending on the vin #, and the color bands that are on the springs you have now. The color bands indicate the load rating and if they are sport springs or not. If somebody ever changed your car to sport springs when the car wasn't supposed to have them, then knowing what your color bands are is necessary so they can be matched to the front. Assuming those are sport also. The springs are right around 95-112 dollars each depending on which one you need.

With that in mind, it's nice to know what you should have on your car per vin#, then compare to the ones in that link which didn't work for me.
