Im not familiar with BMW's but with climate controlled vehicles,i do know that the blower is controlled by a blower control module and the blower gets its ground thru the module.

This relay panel breakdown could come in handy! I have a feeling I have a bad relay back there somewhere one of the ones behind the dash is making an awful noise.. thanks for the diagram though anyone know which relays commonly go bad?

Someone here might know, but the 05 is a B6. You'll have better luck in that forum. If it's a late 05, it's a B7.
