Replaced MAF, but still showing low input

Any of you know what could cause the MAF error without it being the MAF? Bad connection? Defective new MAF? My check engine light originally came on when I was accelerating on an onramp and brought it up to about 5000rpms in 3rd or 4th gear and the car kicked back on me.

Bump. It also has an unsteady idle. The mechanic I brought it to said the CEL comes on when the car bogs down briefly while idling. The CEL originally came on when I was bringing the car up to ~5000 rpms in 4th gear and it bucked on me. The mechanic is scratching his head as to what is wrong. They replaced the MAF, but it is still showing the code for the MAF having low input I think. You guys have any ideas? This is getting frustrating because the mechanic just had my car for a week, pretty much went through everything, and is still scratching his head. It is also showing codes for the ABS and Airbag control modules. Could the problems be interrelated in some strange way? My airbag light is on, but my ABS light is off.

and what the hell car is it? year? engine? transmission?

Most likely a broken wire in the maf harness. Plenty of people have had this problem seeing that the wires are very thin and tend to break over time with all the heat in the engine bay.

Sorry fellas, it is a 2000 1.8TQM. The code for the MAF I believe was P0102, MAF low input. Thanks Mike@DTH, I'll forward your reply to my mechanic. He said he had checked all the wiring, but maybe he missed this. If anyone else has any ideas, they would be much appreciated.

He should be able to check the voltage of the sensor, both input and output, and determine if it's the MAF.

He will most likely need to do a continuity test of the wires.

Thanks. It would be faster right now but I am maxed out on the bosch 044 fuel pump and now I smoke the tires in 1st and 2nd gear. Going to be adding dual 044 fuel pumps with a surge tank and most likely upgrade to Hoosier tires.

Here is video from 2 weekends ago.
