What is this plug in the center console?

What is this plug in the center console?
I was removing everything in my car so I could pull the carpet and I came across a port under a square in the center console. It looks like an ethernet plug. What the heck is that for?

like on zohan "push this button, free hbo" It would be cool if you could get internet through it. Would be nice on long trips.

It is for a installed 3 watt cell phone, handset goes up in the armrest while the main unit(brain) goes in the truck. I used to be a car phone installer back in the late 80's to mid 90's.
