replacing valve cover gasket

I'm just over 100,000 miles on my 1.8T and im going to replace my valve cover gasket because of a slight leak... How much harder would it be to replace the cam seal at the back of the engine (near the firewall)while im at it? Any writeups for the cam seals? The valve cover gasket seems very straight forward...

Thanks!

You just loosen the 3 bolts and slide them out and then in. If you dont have an 01 with VVT, i dont believe you have that gasket

You are suppose to have a tool to hold the cam chain in place and all this crap, but you can just loosen the bolts on the outside cover and slide them in/out, pretty simple. There is a how to somewhere, might be on passatworld
