Every car has what's referred to as a reserve tank but It's generally rated at 30 miles after the low fuel light comes on and yes you will burn up your fuel pump. You could save yourself $20 in fuel for the price of a fuel pump. I think you'll find that doesn't help. The good news is the fuel pump has an access door in the trunk so it's easy to get to. They started that back in the early 80's

theres no separate reserve tank. when the gas light comes on there is generally 1.5 to 2 gallons of gas left. that is if your gas level sender is still accurate. its best not to let it get down that low.

"about to have rims" and you can't afford gas? Get your priorities straight.

The "full gas tank mod" is much better than the rims mod.

His rims never spin - to the contrary, you'll find that they're quite stationary.
