As for the guy above me trying to sell you arms at $99+ a piece...

I agree with you, the arms are not cheap. Like you, I work on my own cars as well. I also like to know what OEM part prices are. Sometimes they surprise me and are almost the same as aftermarket options. We are trying to structure our pricing so customers can see very good pricing on OEM parts. We aren't always going to be able to do that.

I came over to Audi after selling Porsche parts for the last 8 years at our sister dealership. I am looking forward to learning more about the Audi brand from this forum for one. It is exciting to see the new cars they are coming out with, and the technology behind it all.

i thought OEM control arm kits weren't as good as say, Meyle components. something about the tie rod ends or something like that. don't quote me on that i havent looked up on control arm kits in a long while. i've literally just plugged in new depo chromes after a 2piece to 1 piece conversion. wasn't easy but wasn't hard...

U can get all the arms from ecs for less than 350. They have a slae on lowers for 99 and the uper kit is 131. then 80 for HD TRE's and if you want sway bar links go for it.

see now im confused. they have ebay kits for literally...150 dollars

meyle kits 530~
febi 500~

im pretty sure there was thread that addressed that OEM tie rods or something were faulty and shouldn't be replaced with OEM tie rod ends. i know febi and meyle have "updated' tie rod ends.

might just have to invest in one of these kits pretty soon too. i just don't want to put products i know will go bad before they are supposed to in my car. but as of right now, im leaning towards the febi kit. meyle is a little more money but i still want some money to be able to eat. plus gas is gonna reach $5 this summer

No hate for my FCP kit and there's a sale going on Audizine for them. Get the beefier S4 TREs and you'll be set.
