Rim width
Yep different tire designs have different shoulder curvature. Mine are 19x8 and a +37 offset (+42 offset built into the wheels and I'm using 5mm spacers). The tires clear the suspension and spindles but only by a very small margin. I don't know if I'd go any more than a +38 even on a 225-section tire though just to keep a margin of error.
I'm running 19x8 as well, with 235/35/R19 tires. I used to have pretty major fender rubbing issues in the front (lowered on Eibach springs) until I got those fenders rolled. The back is/was perfect.
Not sure what offset the wheels have, I bought the car with this setup.

I'm also on 235-35ZR19 tires and I'm lowered 2.5" up front and about an inch out back on coilovers, and rolling the fenders is a must. But the offsets above will allow the combination to work. It's tight but it works.
