Default RPM issue with Video

Hi
A4 2.8 1996 Manual
First of all sorry for the bad quality of the video I did this with my low res Nokia phone.

You will what is going on in the Videos below, I did change sparks, coils and cables. I did clean the throttle body and MAF will be next. But As you will see in the videos and my description the rpm plays around while the car is idle and not moving I press on the gas pedal and it get's worse, I press on the pedal again and it is back to normal. So I do suspect that throttle body needs changing but I might be wrong. There are NO error codes and putting the system on a scanner did not show any wrong values as this happens randomly and when the car is at the shop it does not happen.

Well I did clean the throttle body roughly 2 months ago "The car had constant high RPM", and this issue started two weeks ago. When I did clean it, I was told that it will re-adapt after roughly 10->15 miles..is that correct ?
Thanks

How many miles? Unplug your maf and see if it gets better. If so, replace the maf.

Well this happens randomly and not more than once or twice a day. If I unplug the MAF can I drive around without it ?
The number of miles to re-adapt ? I was told up to 15 miles.

If the throtle body alignment didn't work right away, it's not going to in any amount of miles. The adaption you are talking about happens anytime you clear fault codes. Basically fuel trims/maping re learn. If you unplug the maf, you will get a cel and fault that will need to be cleared, but if it cures the bouncy idle then you'll know. You'll run rich with the maf unplugged, but it should run. You can drive around with it unplugged but it'll probably be slower and youll get bad mpg. There is no adaptation after cleaning the TB.

to readapt the throttle body, without vagcom... unplug your negative on your battery... make sure u have the radio code if you still have the stock radio.... leave the neg off for like 10 min... then put it back on... put the key in the ACC position, dont start the engine, leave it like that for 5 min. and dont touch the gas pedal! or start the car... after 5 min it should be adapted... start it up and give it a try...

also try unpluging your ECTS, when my car was idleing like crap i unplugged that and my car was running fine, but it turned out to be a HUGE vac leak lol.....

Allright then, I will first try to unplug MAF and check the result of doing that. As for the throttle body alignment I could try that as well it wont hurt. I do have a Blaupunkt radio that has a card so I dont think I would need the code.
I do have two small questions if you guys dont mind.

1- Should I try cleaning MAF first before running with it unplugged or should I unplug it right away ?
2- About the throttle body, I did clean it at two months ago due to high RPM, which was fixed after the cleaning. I will disconnect it so it re-adapts but I am trying to pin point the problem. Since the car RPM did not act in the way it is acting in the videos for at least 45 days after the cleaning. Would it be correct to say that it is re-adapted and it might be faulty if the MAF turned out to be fine ?

In the time it takes to post these questions you could have ran out to unplug the maf to check it!
You don't need to disconnect the throtle body. If all else fails, remove the throtle body (make sure to get a new gasket for reinstallation) and clean the inside thoroughly with brake cleaner. I'm starting to think thats what the problem is... Still dirty and sticking.

It is roughly 1 am here . So the work will need to wait till tomorrow. I REALLY appreciate your advice guys. About the MAF checking as said the problem is that this happens really randomly and once a day and normally after roughly 30 minutes of driving. I will try that tomorrow as well.
Thanks a million guys.
Regards
