RS6 Wheel fitment

1 Attachment(s)
I have searched the forum for two days now trying to find this out and it seems like the answers are just about 18" wheels. I have a set of 17x8.5 RS6 wheels to put on my 99.5 A4 1.8t. My current wheels are stock 15x7. I believe the offset on theses wheels to be 35 but I might be mistaken. My question is what size spacer do I need to place on the wheels to keep them off the control arms? I have attached a picture of the wheels I have.

Thanks for you help.

I have OEM RS6 wheels on my 98 B5 and they're 18x8.5 I believe. They fit fine without any spacers. The stock offset is 35mm. I'm not sure if you're talking about replicas or not though, so it could be different.

The set I have are replicas. I do believe they have the stock offset as well. Thanks for the help. I'll try one on when I get home see how they fit.

brett what size tire are you running?

17x8.5 et35 would work without spacers. Diameter wouldn't really make a difference here

Are you sure your stock wheels are 15x7ET35? My 99.5 A4 2.8L has a stock 16x7ET45 wheel. I was able to fit my late RS6 reps 18x8.5ET35 using 225/40/18 tires and it fit flushed with the fenders without spacers, this was in a test fit though because I recently had my wheels resprayed. I will permanently put them on this weekend though.

I'm pretty sure he meant stock rs6 wheel is et35. oem b5 wheels aren't et35 even though people say that for some reason...

My stock wheels are 15x7 et45.
