an s line 1999 a4 b5 ?? possible or non-existent?!
hi guys, I have a Audi a4 b5 1999 Quattro wagon and I have only had it recently, firstly I noticed the interior is maroon red leather seats with maroon leather red door trims, Nobody seems to have heard of this color interior.... anywho,
I also noticed a funny little badge on my steering wheel that doesn't say anything it's just a red square and 2 silver squares and they're like tilted to the right (photo provided) now I've JUST discovered... this resembles an S-line badge to me, if it is, is an S-line a4 b5 avant a rare thing? and what's so good about an s-line?
Thanks to whoever can answer me !

They didn't call it "S-Line", but it could be the sports package. Both of my B5 A4s have had the same 3-spoke steering wheel, but I'm not sure either of them have had the full sports package (which comes with different suspension).
Yea you know what I find funny about the badge on the steering wheel.. I have it in my automatic 2000 2.8 A4. No where else in the car does it have s-line or anything referring to "s class". Its clearly an A4. When I open the original booklets and manuals that came with the car... it says "2000 Audi A4 2.8L Limited Edition"
I have yet to find a person who can explain that to me.
I didn't know there was anything "limited" about a 30v A4.

If you still have the OEM shocks they are red as are the brake calipers. A 3 spoke wheel is a good indicator that you have the sport package but not an "S-line" they way I understand things.
Sports package is sort of "S-line" but it was just called sports package. Most a4 b5s have the three spoke steering wheel even if they don't have the full sport package (steering wheel, lowered shocks, and different wheels). I'm not sure if the steering wheel was offered aside from the full package but it is not uncommon to have the steering wheel without having the other features. As far as the interior goes-it could have been custom ordered, or the previous owner had it re wrapped in the red leather.
17 inch wheels were not part of the sport package, the sport wheels are 16" 7 spoke. Probably has the previous owner out new wheels on, if you have sport wheels and sport steering wheel from factory then you also have sport suspension.

I thought I read years ago the "sport" suspension was introduced in 1998.
A typo on my part. I have 16" wheels. My car was built late 1996, purchased in Jan 1997. The option list states:
