S4 wheels on A4

thanks for the help guys, i guess im getting 225/55/16 within the next month or so and just selling the S4 wheels. and do upload the pics sine.

225/55R16 is too tall. You have to get a proportionally smaller side wall with wider tires. You should be running 225/50R16. 225/55R16 is almost an inch too tall in diameter, which explains the too-close-for-comfort clearance.

I'm not sure if he is getting it.
225 is the width of the tire
50/55 is the height of the tire (it's the percentage of the width)
and you get the last one.

i've ran 205/55/16 all seasons on stock wheels and hakka 2s same size and they were both very easy to drive with. i ran 245/40/18s and the ride was rly bad but the corners were absolutely amazing. now i'm running 225/40/18s and it feels almost like stock except the occasional twitching of the steering wheel from the bumps on the road. i don't think i'll run anything bigger than the 225/40s.

These tires were free. I'm aware that they're not ideal.

Cool beans. But he's buying new tires (I assume), so he should get the correct size.
