for those of us that are relative noobs to such ventures -- how bad is the install for the Electronic Stepper Motor gauge package? I'm fairly mechanically inclined, but have never done something like this and would need quality directions. Are they included? LMK -- I'd like to place my order today.[/align][/align]Thanks.[/align]

The installation is relatively straight forward.

You have a electronic boost sender that provides a signal to the gauge. This sender needs to be connected to a switched 12V source and then you tap it into your boost source. From this sender goes one white wire that connects to the boost gauge itself.

The boost gauge has a wiring harness that needs to be connected to a switched 12V source and to the white wire from the sender to gets its reading. To connect to the gauge itself you just plug in the other end of the harness.

There will be a step by step installation guide posted on the podi.ca website when it is completed.

will the instructions include any suggested hookup points for the wiring -- say for the B5? (I can turn a wrench, but wiring gets a bit unnerving for me). [/align][/align]also, any color choices for the pod? for example, mine is grey.[/align]

ok -- placed my order. will you contact us RE color for the pod? i think my B5 has the same grey interior as your B6.

I will have to enlist the help of some local B5 guys to make sure the installation is spot on. It will also have a lot of pictures so you won't get confused with the installation.

The pod only comes in one color: charcoal grey. It was designed for the ebony (black) interior.
