Talking SC'd 2.8 budget build =D

I figure I'll post my build and it's status for you guys to drool over =P

So it started with getting some free parts from A4_effort about a year ago. At that point I had some injectors, the throttle body inlet pipe, AFPR, and a few other odds and ends.

About 2 months ago I found almost all of the rest of the parts I needed from a member of SCAudi.com I purchased a G1 supercharger, the intake plenum, and charge pipe for the G1, and all of the brackets. I now had about $350 into the setup =D

I then contacted 4 Rings on SCAudi.com and he was able to hook me up with the other pulley I needed for about 40 bux. Still under $400!!!

Ok so at this point I needed a belt, tune, and the by pass valve hose. I bought a new belt form NAPA for $16, normally it's like $50 but I work for my parents at a Euro mechanic shop here in town and get discounts everywhere.

Sweet just over $400!!! Well this is where I am at now.. Still looking for a tune but I have an idea of how to get the hose I need. The tune I'm not sure yet, I am waiting on a call back and hoping I get it with some good news.

In the meantime I have also started getting the car ready for it. I have 160k miles on the car and plan on installing it on the high mile engine. The engine feels healthy and I'm doing the proper maintenance.

So today I received

1x steering rack
2x cam chain tensioner seals
2x valve cover gaskets,
4x camshaft seals
1x crankshaft seal
1x upper breather hose
1x lower breather hose
1x oil cooler seal
1x vacuum pump
1x check valve
1x VDO Pilot boost gauge

Lot's of work ahead of me hahaha

Nice man... I love how your car looks, and now its gonna move to? Can't wait to see the outcome of the build. What tuning you going with and what size are those injectors?

Well since I am on a budget I am trying to get the PES tune which was actually made by GIAC back in the day.

The injectors I believe are stock S4 injectors.

I'm awful tempted to install it all as soon as I get the boost gauge. As long as I stay out of boost I shouldn't have a problem daily driving on a stock tune. It would get me around till I can find the tune. Probably not a good idea though..........

Bad exhaust shop...... They wouldn't fix it because they said there wasn't enough room....... then tell me why so many people get theirs on nicely?

It also doesn't stick out past the bumper even though it looks like it lol

I feel like adding that while I only have ~$420 into the supercharger itself I've done / purchased about $1000 worth of other parts the car could use or I just wanted replaced before I supercharged it.
